Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Boundray you agree to these terms. If you use Boundray on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorized to bind it.

This is the most important term in this document.

Property boundaries, acreage figures, measurements, and overlays shown in Boundray are derived from public county GIS data, public federal datasets, elevation models, and files you supply. They are approximations produced for marketing, orientation, and discussion. They are not a boundary survey, a legal description, a title opinion, an appraisal, a flood determination, or an engineering document.

Do not rely on Boundray output to site improvements, resolve a boundary dispute, price a transaction, or satisfy a legal or regulatory requirement. Retain a licensed surveyor for that. You are responsible for any use you or your clients make of the output, and for keeping the accompanying disclaimer visible on material you distribute.

You keep ownership of the photos, boundaries, annotations, and other content you upload or create. You grant Boundray the limited license needed to store, process, render, and display that content in order to operate the service for you and for the people you share it with. We will not use your imagery in our own marketing without your written permission.

You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload, including any imagery flown for a client, and that your flights complied with applicable aviation rules.

• Do not upload content you do not have rights to.
• Do not use Boundray to harass, surveil individuals, or violate privacy law.
• Do not remove or obscure boundary accuracy disclaimers on published material.
• Do not attempt to break authorization rules, scrape other users' projects, or overload the service.
• Do not resell raw access to Boundray as your own platform without an agreement with us.

Client accounts are free and are intended for recipients of projects; they can view and lightly annotate delivered work but cannot create or alter boundary geometry. Paid plans unlock project creation, boundary editing, and - on operator plans - the full imagery pipeline. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor. You can cancel at any time; your plan remains active through the end of the paid period, after which the account reverts to read-only access to existing projects. We will give notice before changing prices for an existing subscriber.

Boundray displays data from county GIS services, FEMA, USFS, USGS, Mapbox, and other providers. That data is supplied as-is by its publishers, may be outdated or incorrect, and may become unavailable without notice. We do not warrant it.

We aim to keep Boundray running continuously but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we may change or discontinue features. During the beta period, features may change more frequently than they will after general release.

Boundray is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or losses arising from reliance on boundary approximations.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, and will make a reasonable effort to give notice and an opportunity to export your content first.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Dakota, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
